STUD CARDS take various forms and sizes, from an A5 laminated 4 sided leaflet like the diagram to practically a business card.
The information on this card tells a potential user the full breeding history of the stallion/stud dog etc, so this card has to be informative - eye catching and preferably with pictures not only of the stud but his protégée too.
Potential users will want to see HIM and exactly what type of baby he is likely to produce and all this information is going to take up quite a bit of space.
This is MARKETING, selling your dog/horse in exactly the same way the supermarkets sell beans - THEY ADVERTISE !! You too are advertising the animal with a stud card and the last thing you will ever want is for your competitors stud card to be far superior to yours.
DON'T use pictures taken with a phone, PLEASE !! Have a set done professionally by me or at least use a photographer who has extensive knowledge of ANIMALS, you will never be able to capture an ELEVATED TROT or the extravagant paces of a stallion with a phone camera so forget it.
Use them by all means but your competitors stallion will be getting all the work because not only did they use a professional animal photographer but their pictures told the right story.
