What seperates me from other photographers is my experience with horses which goes far beyond using a camera, it's this knowledge which gives me a far better edge when taking pictures - not only was I bought up with these majestic animals but I'm well versed in the art of (40 years plus) BREAKING/SCHOOLING/RIDING/SHOWING/ TEACHING/SHOW JUMPING/CROSS COUNTRY/EVENTING/DRESSAGE/PONY CLUB/JUDGING and so many more disciplines which give me the eye to see exactly what the animal is doing correctly or incorrectly, it's this extra "hands on" equestrian knowledge I use to repeatedly capture the perfect picture by pressing the shutter at exactly the right second to get that unique image.
I cover many types of equestrian show and event from PONY CLUB to BADMINTON but I'm not the man you hear at the event long before you see him, you know the one I mean - The guy who has all the gear and absolutely no idea how to use it let alone take a decent photograph using just one or two frames. YES - He's the man with the really long lens and an itchy trigger finger, he's the guy who keeps his finger on the button firing off hundreds of shots whilst desperately hoping to get one or two decent useable pictures, he's the guy who hasn't any knowledge of how to use the camera on any other setting than "PROGRAMME" and cant take the shot without the help of "FACE RECOGNITION" Is this the man you trust to take your precious animal pictures or how about your wedding photographs? He's the man who's never used old fashioned FILM, because you cant use those camera's without a modicum of skill and talent.
At best the pictures bought from most of the ON SITE Developing companies are simply a proof snap which you've probably been charged in excess of ten quid for the memory which is now starting to fade away.
So its not easy but I'm more than capable of photographing any type of horse in any discipline at any event, you wont be buying proof prints but photographs that are produced using the finest paper and inks which the companies guarantee have a live of 70 years plus if kept in the right conditions.
Please contact me if you would like a "PHOTOGRAPHER" to cover your event, one that knows and understands horses, you wont be able to take the pictures home after the event because PHOTOGRAPHS cannot be produced in 10 minutes, a proper image takes a great deal of time to create.
